TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Accuracy of Information
All information submitted for your entry into the Legacy Bonus Program is true, complete, and accurate. You affirm that all horses listed are legally owned by you and are eligible to compete in the division indicated on your entry form. Any false, misleading, or inaccurate information may result in immediate disqualification from the Legacy Bonus Program and forfeiture of any potential payout.
2. Transferability of Entries
Legacy Bonus entries are transferable under the following conditions:
• Transfer of Entries with Sale
If a horse already entered in the Legacy Bonus Program is sold, the entry may transfer with the horse at the discretion of the original owner.
BGSS must be notified in writing (via email or text) with full sale details before the horse competes in its next round of competition.
EXAMPLE FOR SALE OPTION: If a horse is sold before the Open Semi-Finals and email or text message needs to be sent to BGSS stating the following: I, (owner) have sold (horse registered name) to (purchaser – to include name, address, phone and email) as of (date) and am selling the mentioned horse (with or without) my Legacy Bonus Entry.”
• Use of Entries on Purchased Horses
If a horse that was not previously entered in the Legacy Bonus Program is purchased, the new owner may apply an available unused entry to that horse. If the purchaser does not have an unused entry but wishes to substitute the purchased horse into an existing named entry, substitution is permitted only if the class in which the named horse was entered has not yet started.
BGSS must be notified in writing (via email or text) with full entry details prior to the horse competing in its next round of competition.
EXAMPLE FOR UNUSED ENTRY OPTION: Purchaser of a horse has a purchased breeding that qualifies as an entry to the current year Legacy Bonus Program that has not been used, that entry can be used on the horse purchased. If the purchaser has an entry that has been named but the class has not started the purchased horse can be substituted into that entry for the applicable fee.
3. Substitution & Withdrawal Policy
If a horse is withdrawn prior to the start of the class in which it is entered, you may substitute the entry with another horse owned by you, subject to payment of the applicable administrative fee. However, if the class has already commenced and your horse is withdrawn for any reason, the associated Legacy Bonus entry is automatically forfeited and may not be substituted, or reassigned. Legacy Bonus entries can NOT be sold.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
4. No Sale or Trade & Expiration of Entries
Legacy Bonus entries may not be sold, traded, or otherwise transferred independently of a horse sale. Entries are valid only for the competition year in which they are issued and do not carry over to subsequent years. Any unused entries at the close of the competition year are automatically forfeited.
5. Payment of Winnings
At the conclusion of the competition, a W-9 tax form will be issued to the recorded owner of the horse. This form must be completed and returned before any winnings are disbursed. Once received and verified, all checks will be made payable exclusively to the owner of record as listed with BGSS at the time of the event. Checks will not be made payable to trainers, agents, associates, or third parties. It is the sole responsibility of the owner of record to distribute funds to any additional parties pursuant to their own private agreements.
• Forfeiture of Payouts
Any entry found to be in violation of these Terms & Conditions, or submitted with false or inaccurate information, will result in automatic disqualification and forfeiture of winnings.
6. Acknowledgement of Terms
By submitting your entry, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, and accept that failure to comply will result in disqualification from the Legacy Bonus payout.
